Spring Landscape Cleanup Tips

- Get out early before your plants emerge and it is much easier.

-Cut back perennials and ornamental grasses but not so short as to damage the crown.

- Tie your ornamental grasses so when you cut them they do go all over the place.

- Mulching early with a high quality shredded bark will help keep weeds down and moisture levels high.

- You can fertilize your beds early with a granular fertilizer but if you wait, it is safer to use a water soluble fertilizer.
